Thursday, 24 August

4:00 PM

Check in begins

Meet and greet, nametag pick-up, and gathering of attendees in common area adjacent to hotel lobby, bar and outside pool.

Arrival day - no formal functions scheduled

Friday, 25 August

 9:00 AM

Check-in continues; name tage pickup and gathering of attendees.

11:00 AM

Offutt AFB Tour - Official Event

I hope we will have enough cars to transport everyone to the base.  If not, transportation will be provided.  Cost will be determined once final headcount is known and will be collected at the reunion.  If you do not have a DOD ID you need to fill out the for in the registration packet.  All the fields will be required.  We will have lunch at the Patriot Club on base.  The lunch Buffet is $10.95.  If you would like just soup and salad bar the cost is $8.50.   

Saturday, 26 August
  Tour of the SAC Museum at a time to be determined probably mid to late morning.  Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for senior citizens and Active/Retired/Veteran Military.  If there are 20 or more, a private guided tour is available for a cost of $50 for the whole group.  I hope we have enough cars to transport everyone to the Museum, otherwise, transportation The Museum is 30 miles from the Hotel. will be provided.  Cost to be determined. 

There are many other opportunities for sight seeing for the morning and most of the afternoon are free time for smaller gathering or tours (see comments in the registration packet).

Things to see and do

Top destinations include:  Mid-Town Crossing, The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, Joslyn Art Museum, Lauritzen Gardens, Durham Museum, 3 Casinos just across the Missouri River from the Hotel and much more.

The Old Market area has much to offer.  With over 30 local restaurants, bars and shops. 

The Hotel is located on the edge of The Heartland of America Park.Boys Town and other attractions are outside the 3 mile radius of the shuttle service.

To reserve your room, you can contact the hotel directly or via a special webpage for our group set up by the hotel.  Our Group Name is Peshawar Air Station.  The group rate is available at the following link -- http://www.group.embassysuites.com/PeshawarAirStation. 

The hotel has agreed to extend this rate for added nights before or after our scheduled dates as needed.  Please advise us of your arrival and departure plans so we can possibly schedule additional activities, if needed.  We have a block of rooms (for each of the three nights of our reunion) with a cut-off date for reservations of Friday 28 July 2017.  After this date, the hotel cannot guarantee room availability.  Please make your reservations as soon as possible, so more rooms can be allocated if needed.  Any guest room cancellation within 24 hours of arrival will result in a one night's room rate charge, plus applicable taxes for each reservation cancelled.

If you are flying and you are going to use the Hotel Shuttle, the Hotel requests that you inform them of when your flight is scheduled to arrive so they can dispatch the shuttle.

The primary tenant of Peshawar Air Station was the 6937th Communications Group, an intelligence unit under the command of the United States Air Force Security Service.  Many other important support units, including a U.S. Army detachment, were part of the military makeup of Peshawar Air Station.

All military members, dependents, civilian contractors and all others associated with Peshawar Air Station are welcomed and encourage to attend this reunion.
